The Tarf Hotel

After the length of yesterday's walk we realised that we would not get back in time for the bus on Sunday if we stayed here for another night, also the river to get the mountains we wanted was very high and it would have been a wet affair trying to cross it.
So we decided to head west to the bothy at Allt Sheicheachan. The walk involved a very pleasant walk along the River Tarf with big fluffy flakes of snow falling, we then headed higher into deeper snow and over a number of passes. On the second pass we met Bill who had wondered off the summit of Beinn Dearg in a very wrong direction. He was very pleased to see us. He joined us in falling through snow drifts back up to the shoulder of Bein Dearg
The Bothy was in great condition and just after we arrived another bloke arrived with a big bag of fire wood. A result and a great reason to share our whisky.
