He's behind you,
A long walk in from Blair Atholl, up Glen Tilt and round to the Tarf Bothy. Starting at two o'clock gave us two and a half hours of daylight for a walk that took 6hrs.
A lovely start to the walk with stunning light on the snow topped hills, and as we passed Forest Lodge, with the Asda delivery van, the darkness started coming in. After leaving the Glen Tilt track we encountered more snow than we expect which really slowed us down.
Finally we reached the Tarf and a mere three and half Kilometers to go, One burn, two burn, three burn and finally the fourth were all we had to give us indications as to where we were in relation to the nights accomodation.
But there it was, a welcoming candle in the window and the smell of coal burning. The final plank over the river was three inches under water but we managed to get there tired but with dry feet.
There was three others in the very comfy bothy, so some good bothy chat over dinner and then bed.
And no-one mentioned the Bothy Ghost.
