Is this my best side?
I totally did NOT intend to post a photo of Cousteau again today. I took a few shots in the city today but none really made the grade. I'm not really a city kind of a girl.
I took a couple of shots of Canterbury's 'oh-so-lovely-Movember-Mo' but was told that I wasn't allowed to post them coz he's intending to do so some time.
Then we walked the pooch down by the Waimak River. The light was gorgeous and I took about 60 shots, some of which were quite nice.
However, when I put the pics on the computer, I realised that this had to be my shot for the day. Absolutely no post processing required (just a wee crop). Hand held at a 50th of a second and capturing the light perfectly. He's a handsome pooch and this captures that too. What can you do when you've got such a willing and photogenic model in the household?
I bought a couple of polarising filters for my lenses today, maybe they contributed to the magic light in this photo? Who knows?

Northern's beautiful and touching blip made me remember that the animals we love so much are here for a good time, not for a long time. It's up to us to make that time as good as possible.
