Been another indoors day today. Didn't even get out to church, the day was slow to get going as it was. Although I did manage to get out to the supermarket this afternoon: having watched a few of Jamie's 30 minute meals I got inspired enough to make something! Macaroni and cauliflower cheese. And it was lovely, including the herby pancetta breadcrumbs on top! Steve's found that if he eats something little and often, like crumpets or toast, it keeps the nausea down just enough to function. I don't know yet whether he's going to be going in to work tomorrow or not, he's had a really rough weekend at any rate, and he'll definitely be calling the doctor.

Hmm.... it's nearly 8 o'clock and we've had NO trick-or-treaters! Maybe this area just does hallowe'en parties rather than guising? Got a lot of chocolate and sweets sitting here waiting.... Steve said he'll take the haribo into work to save me from it!

Strictly now. And then, well, I think bed. Ben thinks it's 9pm, which is bedtime, so he's probably thinking he's getting to stay up late. Which could go either way... either he'll have pushed through the sleepy-barrier and be a ball of hyperactive bonkersness, or he'll be so tired that he'll fall asleep instantly..... If I get the washing up done quickly after Strictly I think I won't bother with putting him in his cotbed, and just curl up with him in our bed and go to sleep myself once he's away.

And so ... goodnight to October. Here's to a month just gone of celebrations and cakes. I'm hoping this coming month won't have quite so much cake involved... Maybe just the odd cupcake day here and there....
