Mend and make do

Old stuff is great, and it's really comforting to see people taking care of theirs - be it fixing the sash windows on an old terrace house (admittedly, the homeowner probably has to as part of her lease as this is in a conservation area), or darning socks like a colleague at work was planning for this weekend.
