I promise I'll turn the lights back on tomorrow
So clearly, I've been bitten by the "taking photos in the dark" bug. Mr cleanslate was rather dismayed that he had to play another part today's blip. But bubbles don't blow themselves, people. Despite his teasing, we BOTH had fun with this. Of course, there was some trial and error.... it's hard to take pictures in the dark.... sometimes the subject(s) are in shot.....sometimes they're not.....sometimes your husband is only pretending to blow bubbles and laughing at you searching the view finder... sometimes he's not....
Anyway, hugely successful day today. No.1's first swimming lesson. I was so nervous (how pathetic!) He doesn't have the nickname Whingy McClingy* for nothing. The whole day I've been convinced he's about to dig his heels in and create, but he sailed through the entire affair. He skipped off happily with the teacher and I watched through the glass as other children's fingernails were surgically removed from the doorframes, baffled at his new found confidence. I was a very proud Mum :-)
* For the record, nicknames are a transient entity in the cleanslate household. Since there's been notably less moaning today he has predominantly been known as, Mr Rascal Pascal Pants (I was quite pleased with that one!!) but his long suffering brother endures Mr Boodle Chops on a fairly consistent basis.
