Stobo Japanese garden

It's difficult to imagine how much more unattractive one can become the minute the uniform of the health spa is donned.

White towelling robes never did anything for any one, far less the sort of women who has the time and money to spend time pampering themselves.

For one night daughter #1 and I were that sort of woman and despite the obligatory fluffy robes managed to enjoy the various steam rooms, gym and pool before gorging on delicious meals designed to put back with interest any weight loss that might have occurred by exercising. We just avoided any mirrors.

Outside, despite the smirr of rain this morning, I wandered through the Japanese Water garden along with my camera. The trees were a glorious rainbow of colours and the ground thick with fallen leaves in every shade of russet and red.

Then it was back for a three course lunch and a relaxing hour in the lounge reading about the outside world before we had to head home and real life.
