I'm Not Sharing
Today was spent packing up the campsite to head out. My main job is keeping the boys busy while Gary went to work packing up, so I took the boys on an exploring adventure. I walked while they 'scootered'. Scout tried to walk me so I need to get better at that considering right now he is still only half the size he will be when he's full grown. I will be purchasing 'The Gentle Leader' soon for my four-legged friend...as I'm told by my vet it is the best thing for walking a dog of his size. Since nobody was around, we were able to take off the leash and he could go full speed chasing them on their scooters. We explored the many pathways, but I couldn't go too far because I was never given a sense of direction at birth. I think God must have given me extra of something else because I could get lost in a cardboard box. This blip photo of this squirrel eating a nut from a pine cone came from our exploring today. He appears to be saying 'I'm not sharing'.
On the trip home, there was major meltdown between Liam and Landon that ended with Liam hurting Landon's arm. Needless to say, it was a quiet car ride the rest of the 2 hours home after the biggest guy (Dad) brought out the 'Dad' voice.
Arriving home required a bunch more work...so we tag-teamed the unpacking/cleaning and got alot done but had to save loads and loads of laundry for the next couple of days. All the dirty sleeping bags and blankets and lake clothes with sand rolled up in them gave me quite the task of laundering....but it was worth it for some time spent in the beautiful surroundings of Pinecrest.
