How was your day?

Today I took my mother for an urgent ENT appointment in Newcastle because of the painful, inflammed lump in her neck (not responding to antibiotics after 2 weeks). During the course of the day she was seen by a whole series of medics and proved to be rather a challenge. No one can find the source of the infection.

In the afternoon we were sent from ENT to the Maxillo Facial surgeons across the city. Here more medics and then an x ray, then a needle in the lump, then the lump was opened and drained. (Too much info?)

We are back home again - more antibiotics - and hoping the worst is over. My blip represents some of the events of the day, including the attempt to keep smiling whatever the pain (or tedium)!
