The (not so) quiet life

Five Little Monkeys

Had my hands well and truly full today as I was looking after Niamh and Noah too. Everybody was surprisingly well behaved but just keeping track of so many kids is a nightmare and I am now totally knackered. I could have done with some kind of multiple extending lead type contraption just to keep control of them and stop them diving under a bus.

When it came to getting the girls from nursery I did a swap with Linsey and took Gregor with me whilst she kept Katy. Unfortunately Gregors foul mouthed imaginary friend joined us for the outing and there was much upset when he decided to call Abigail poo-poo. So the car was stopped Jo-Jo the invisible was given a very big row and then left standing on the pavement outside the nursery. There was much waving and shouting as we drove off and then a chorus of "Yeah. piss off Jo-Jo" started up in the back. Turns out Jo-Jo isn't the only one with a potty mouth.

In the afternoon Linsey, Anna and myself rounded up all 8 kids and headed for a walk. 7 cereal bars, half a bag of skittles, 6 alfresco toilet stops and two and a half hours later we completed the 3 mile walk. The kids loved it but at the pace they were going I'm going to add an electric cattle prod to my wish list. This photo was taken on one of the trees down by the river. If you look carefully you might just catch a glimpse of Jo-Jo.
