The (not so) quiet life

Horsing About

The car is broken once again (was working for a period of approximately 12 hours- does that even count as being fixed?). The garage were going to collect it first thing this morning but somehow over the course of the weekend that has changed to "we'll try and get it at some point today if we're not too busy". Customer service at it's finest, wouldn't be quite so annoyed if they hadn't claimed to have fixed it less than a week ago (that being the 12 hour period it worked for).

Decided that a good way to let off some steam would be to walk down to collect the girls from nursery (it also avoids the increasingly vicious arguments about car seats). They were both very well behaved and walked all the way up the road with only a few skittles as a bribe. We took this photo as we stopped for a break and to chat to the horses. Unfortunately the niceness stopped there. Since we arrived home the hole in the middle of a bagel had been filled up with soup, they have slid down the back hill in their school uniform (wasn't planning on washing them till at least wednesday) and the arguments have included "my feet are bigger than yours", "blue is your favourite colour, not mine" and "Katy is my friend not yours" (mostly started by Abigail it must be said). I am going to buy myself a set of industrial ear defenders and let them get on with it. I'll intervene if I see blood, which lets face it can never be ruled out.
