Wedding guest

It was B and M's wedding in our village today - such a happy affair, with loads of friends crowding into the church and then into the village hall.

Someone else was taking the photos. It was a glorious day and all the official photos were taken in full sun in the churchyard. I took the opportunity to take one special guest, my 89 year old Mum, into the shade for this portrait. She was wearing her favourite colour, turquoise blue, and sporting a small arrangement of feathers and lace in her hair. She always complains that she looks terrible in photographs, but on this occasion even she likes the image!
