Peacock butterfly

I was busy doing a bit of pruning when this peacock butterfly came by and obligingly landed on one of the inulas. I love the intensity of the colour and the patterns on this butterfly.

I have cropped in close around the flower head to provide a frame of petals for the butterfly.

This is a back blip - and for one awful moment today I could not find any images from 2nd September. I thought I had deleted the card before downloading the images. After a bit of searching the 2nd September crop was found on a memory card on my desk. Phew!
