Dark and Light IV

Bad news: Officials in the rescue effort of 33 miners trapped for more than a month in Chile have agreed to send two packs of cigarettes down the narrow shaft to be split among the men who have requested to smoke. Alright, so let me get this straight: you are trapped 2300 feet down in a mine and for a while you are pretty sure that you're good as dead. When you are miraculously discovered alive and given a second chance, you request cigarettes? If I were one of the non smokers in the bunker I would be ticked off about that decision.

Good news: The men have also received a power cord down the shaft so they no longer have to suffer in darkness till November, which is the earliest prediction of when they'll see daylight again.
