Emily's TV Night

Since Doug didn't need to leave for work until 11, I got to take a nice run outside. Upon my return, Jack and I ran a few errands and then returned home for a quick lunch. We picked Gracie up from school and threw her bike in the back of the van to head for Borders to pick up a birthday gift for her friend Julia.Apparently Julia loves to make cupcakes so Gracie had decided to get her a book on cupcakes. Who would have guessed there are so many books on that topic? We sat on the floor at Borders surrounded by books about cupcake making when Kathie Formosa happened upon us. It was so nice to visit with her as she had been on my mind a lot lately. Gracie finally came to a decision about which book to purchase and we returned home to wrap the book, a box of cake mix and a can of frosting for Julia.

After dropping Gracie off at Julia's in Lodi, I swung by Lodi High to pick up Emily from water polo practice. We returned home for dinner and as I got the other kids bathed and ready for bed, Emily, my child who rarely watches t.v., flopped on the couch and watched several taped episodes of her favorite show Make It or Break It. She hardly ever watches one show, but tonight she laid there watching for nearly 2 hours!! Mark that in the record book for her!! I think the business/craziness of the week finally caught up with her. This blip is of Em curled up on the couch with Oreo. They look so comfy together. She's always so busy, it's nice seeing her just totally & completely waste a few hours watching t.v.

Picked Gracie up at 10:30. She had a fun time but was a bit tired. Hopefully she will sleep in tomorrow.
