I've got a brand new combine 'arvester....

Pesky Princess went to Scouts for the first time tonight. It's been a long while since both kids have been to beavers/cubs/scouts together and Mrs P and i were actually at a loss what to do.

So did a bit of shopping (this garage makeover is costing me a small country!) then went for a walk around the village after dropping them off.

All the fields are full of machinery buzzing away getting the crops in before it next rains and there's a strong wheat smell in the air, obviously the dust from the combines, which you can see in the shot I took.
Stood and watched (and took some shots) of the machines at work. These things are amazingly fast, about 60 seconds to strip a massive chunk of the field. Would be great to have a shot at driving ;)

Here's my offering for today. In sepia in homage to the old timers who took shots of farmers at work....
