Nanny McPhee & Despicable Me
I enjoyed the day at a Pure Joy conference with my sis, sis-in-law, and nieces at my church today. It was a great message for living a life of purity with some great speakers. Today reminded me of one of my favorite verses:
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is---his good, pleasing and perfect will." Romans 12:2
In the evening we picked up Liam's pal Cody and we all headed to the drive-in in Sacramento to watch both Nanny McPhee & Despicable Me. Of course, you have to wait until dark (8:50 to be exact) to start the first movie...so needless to say it was a late night! My husband was so sweet to go to the store and pick up each of the boys favorite candies as well as a couple trays of sushi before we left :p The movies were a hit, although I got so comfortable with my blanket that I didn't make it through the second movie without dozing off. I must be getting old. We got home around 1:30 am and went to bed shortly after 2:00. We may need a nap tomorrow...but watching these boys all laying in the van watching their movie was a picture I'm glad I captured for my blip. It is very similar to the one I posted before seen here except from a different angle in our 'swagger wagon'.
