Young and Alive

Went to a bonfire tonight in my friend John's backyard with a group of friends. Haven't been to one in a year! We roasted marshmallows camping-style using sticks on the ground to make s'mores and talked about each of our life stories. It was funny, serious, and a great time. By the time we finished, the fire was just about to go out and all that was left were glowing embers.

It's a pretty sight. Pieces of gold, a dark night, barely-illuminated faces, and stars. All together on a warm summer night.
