A Fine Day Out

We had a beautiful sunny day today, so we went to the beach. Lots of sun worshippers as usual. Plenty of kids with buckets and spades and much whooping with joy in the sea which was warmish for the first time this summer and among all of the usual activities I spotted these two ladies walking very slowly along the beach, having a great and animated conversation and obviously oblivious to all that was happening around them. How wonderful for them to be out in the fresh air and in their own way enjoying life every bit as much as all the youngsters.
