People-watching
I love to watch the world go by. And it turns out, so does Katie. The windows in our new house are very low level- Katie level- and she's loving watching out of them. There doesn't need to be people, just activity. Trees moving is enough sometimes. This morning, the village blacksmith was out and about very early and she spent a good ten minutes watching, waving and babbling to him.
We've had a wonderful day. This afternoon at baby group, when we were singing the hello song, it came to singing 'hello Katie' and she was the only baby in the group of 20 who waved at everyone when her name was said. And the only one who did twinkle twinkle actions (we've progressed with this one - when it comes to like a diamond, she puts her hands together, before continuing on twinkling!) I was SO proud!
Her cousins turned up late afternoon and she went hyper. And went even more hyper when she realised they'd brought the standby monkey with them. She liked him, quite a lot actually, but was very clear that she knew it wasn't her monkey and that her monkey was better. Mummy is going to wash new monkey and sleep with him a few times... the things we do, hey?!
