Saw this on a building site near Sauchiehall Street. I had been shopping for some more of "Ken's oddities." Apartment living to me means showing consideration to your neighbors. My DVD collection of TV shows like Midsomer Murders sits happily alongside the musical sounds of Deacon Blue, Stan Getz, and Nanci Griffith. Even with my speakers set at the lowest volume, I am always worried that the sounds can be heard by others. I therefore needed something to place behind my bed which would confine the transmissions to a very localised area.

I found exactly what I was looking for - two microphone boom stands.
These are now placed behind my bed with a small speaker on each. I can swivel them into place each side of my head, and enjoy the full rich sounds without fear of disturbing others.

It was difficult to get to sleep last night, as I was addicted to the Test Match.
When I did turn off the radio, I still could not get off. Then I had another of my brainwaves - I just started to count pens.
