My workspace
I was overwhelmed by your requests to keep "blipping" - and a sincere thank you to everyone. There must be order in my life, everything must be in it's place, and being tidy is second nature to me.
My apartment has two bedrooms, but the lounge is so big it has become my office, dining area, relaxation area, and my bedroom. It seemed financially prudent to only heat one room during the winter, as I am here most of the day.
The image of me with Tony Bennett was taken when I interviewed him at the London Palladium some 30 years ago - my hair is now sadly short and grey.
The certificate is one I am proud of, it is a commendation for bravery when I was in the part-time Police Force, and considering I am only 8 stone in weight, it shows that "size is not everything!"
The laptop screen saver is an image taken in Oban a few weeks ago.
I collect old postcards from around the period 1910-1930, and the big volume you see "The Postcard Century" by Tom Phillips is the Postcard Collectors bible.
Now there is another interesting point to this image - that is the depiction of my two laptops, which have different screen sizes.
I design and run a website for a famous author in Birmingham (cannot mention names in case they pull this post again.) - and he has a smaller screen laptop.
When I design a page on my new machine it looks perfect on the widescreen display. However, when viewed on the small screen version, the page does not display fully. This means that I always have to think of all those viewers with "Square screens" rather than widescreens, and tailor my design accordingly.
Oh well - back to the daily grind!
