When you see a good move, look for a better one
When you see a good move, look for a better one
~Emanuel Lasker
After a meeting with the Wenlock Olympic Society where I had coffee and tea cake, I met up with a dear friend Jo for a long coffee... very long. But there was cake!
As it's the end of the school year, some of Charlotte's clubs have already ended. It also means Michael gets very busy with the end of year show and scheduling classes and timetables for the September term (time tables are akin to a Rubik's Cube with scheduling rooms, tutors, classes and equipment to appease everyone.)
Michael had to work late, and Charlotte didn't have swimming so we were forced to entertain ourselves tonight. Unfortunately for me, this meant a game of chess with Charlotte. And losing. Again. And I tried, and I mean really tried to win this time. None of the normal 'oh she's a kid I'll let her win.' type stuff here. I was brutal. But she won... again.
Hate chess. Bring on the checkers board!
