The countess and the rose.

At our 'Open Garden' yesterday lots of people commented favourably on the colour combination of our climbing rose and clematis. It grows between the kitchen window and garage and even onto the garage roof.

I was asked the name of the rose but cannot remember it I'm afraid, but it is early flowering and a lovely deep sunshine yellow. The clematis is 'Comptesse de Bouchard' and is less pink here than I have seen it growing elsewhere.

It is still looking great today despite the battering from the wind we got yesterday.
