Last Day of School

Today was the last day of school for Emily and Gracie. It was not only their last day for this year, but also their last day at Ben Holt. Emily will be going to Lodi High next year and Gracie will be able to return to Elkhorn at the end of July. This blip is of Gracie and her friends Ari and Mia just after school ended for the day. Although she can't wait to return to her friends at Elkhorn, she will miss a few of the girls from Ben Holt. This year went by so quickly!

After dropping off Hailee and the Anselmo girls, we went home to pack up some last minute items for Emily's trip to Mexico. We dropped everything off at the church and then raced home. Gracie, Jack and I then sped off to Lodi for the first day of the Mel Enze Swim Meet at Tokay High School. We thought we were supposed to be there for warmups at 3:00. Everything always seems to take longer than I think it will. We arrived "late" at 3:10. It turned out that we (along with several others from our team) had been misinformed and the meet didn't actually start until 5:30!! It was a long time of sitting around, but we did end up with a terrific spot for our popup. Jack was a good little guy, as always, playing and making his own fun until the meet started. Gracie swam a 400 freestyle and was first in her heat with an excellent time.

We came home around 7:30 for a quick dinner and baths/bed time.
