Door Hanging
While we were away in Perth longershanks's bedroom furniture arrived. He assembled the chest of drawers and wardrobe himself, but hanging the wardrobe doors was definitely a two man job.
It took a while to work out that it was a lot easier to take the hinges off the doors, attach the hinges to the carcass then slide the doors back onto the hinges. A few adjustments later and they all seemed to be hanging straight and closed freely - result.
Not quite the same success in putting up the new curtain rail - I blame the crumbly plaster personally, but nothing that couldn't be sorted with a bit of polyfilla and white paint. Now all that's required is for him to get all his stuff out of youngshanks's room in time for his return from China, he's got just over seven weeks - it's going to be tight.
