A Spring Day - FINALLY!!!
This morning Gary had a little league board meeting and I had an appointment for Landon with the eye doctor. So after saying goodbye to Liam's sleepover buddy, Cody, we went our separate ways for a little while. I went to get Landon tested for colorblindness. I thought it would be helpful knowing going into kindergarten whether he was colorblind or not---considering sometimes the lessons are based on sorting or coloring in certain shapes specific colors, etc. Big Brother Loren is not colorblind, but Big Brother Liam is. The women on my mom's side of the family pass this down to their sons. The test came back pretty much inconclusive because he had a hard time telling her the numbers that were in the colorblindness books. He tried to trace a few with his fingers and on some pages he saw no numbers. Considering Landon has had difficulty with red, green & brown---we suspect he is---but we will know better in a year when he is re-evaluated after knowing his numbers better.
We took a trip to the park for a few hours. Gary was FINALLY able to try out his April birthday gift, his 'big-boy' scooter. Yes, it is an adult version of the powerwing. After the boys received their powerwings from Santa, daddy wanted a 'big boy' version. :D And what a workout that Slider The Unscooter is! I tried it and learned that the scissor method had my legs feeling like Gumby. Liam and Landon had fun bubble time while Loren rode his scooter and climbed trees most of the time. Each boy found their own trees and declared them theirs.
The evening ended with a trip to the University of the Pacific's baseball game. My brother-in-law had won tickets at a raffle, so we decided to check out the game. It was nice to show Loren some of the skills of the older players, but being in the foul ball territory made me a little nervous. With my luck, I could picture a ball knocking me out before I saw it coming at me :D
=================================================
THIS PICTURE FROM TODAY IS OF LIAM RIDING HIS HUFFY GREEN MACHINE. THIS WAS HIS BIRTHDAY GIFT FROM US THIS PAST MARCH. SINCE I HAD MANY FOND MEMORIES OF MY FAVORITE TOY GROWING UP, BIG WHEELS, I REALLY WANTED TO GET SOMETHING SIMILAR FOR HIM. HE TRIED TO SKID OUT IN THIS LAST PICTURE...AS YOU CAN SEE THE WHEEL TIPPING.
LET'S TRY TO VIEW THIS IN 'LARGE'
