Spelunking

Today I missed out on going on a field trip with Liam. I was happy, though, that Gary's fingerprinting/TB testing came back so he was able to go on a field trip with Liam for the first time. Loren had been on this trip with me before...a trip to the California Caverns. He had a blast searching the caverns and panning for gems. He came back excitedly showing me his gems and Cavern store purchase...a huge pretend diamond.

I spent the day cleaning out the boys closets and switching their rooms. Yes, I was supposed to be resting, but now my mind is at rest now that things don't look as chaotic in their bedrooms. I got rid of a whole lawn & leaf sized bag of toys. Goodwill truck, here I come!

Loren was supposed to have a baseball game tonight...but because of coaching issues...several parents decided to quit the team. It broke my heart because Loren really wants to continue playing with his teammates, as did several other children. Now we don't have a team...so he'll have to merge onto another team halfway through the season :(

Landon had a game. After a friend on the team was throwing up in the trash can, Landon decided he was not feeling well. I told him we'd have to leave the ballpark and skip the after-game snack bar dinner if he wasn't feeling well. He went back onto the pitchers mound and yelled across the field that he thought candy would make him feel better. That was his intention all along. It's amazing a 4-year old can figure out how to try to use the situation to his advantage so quickly. To my knowledge, I've never known candy to be a cure for illness.

TODAY IS MY 100TH BLIP!!!! I WAS GOING TO SET UP MY PIC FOR THE DAY AROUND THE NUMBER 100---BUT RAN OUT OF TIME IN THE DAY AND DIDN'T GET TO USE MY IDEAS! OH, WELL...MAYBE ON BLIP #200.
