A Face Only a Mother Could Love

Today I spent the day running all around town...getting 3 birthday gifts, taking grandma on errands and dropping and picking up the kids at all different times. I also worked on getting caught up on the stuff at home that I've been putting off while sick. Sinus issues still REALLY messing with my inner ear/equilibrium and making me feel like I'm in a dizzy daze, but I still got alot accomplished...running into Target for only what I needed was hard, but necessary with how I feel. My checkbook still didn't like the results :D

Liam had a baseball game tonight. They played really well. While at the ballgame I snapped a picture of my friend Sheila's dog. He is SOOO cute and my kids love him too (of course they continue to beg for another dog...but it isn't happening right now because I know who will end up caring for him/her). I'm not up for it again, quite yet. Our two dogs, Ridley & Jessie, passed away a few years ago within a year of each other...so now our pet population in our household is dwindling. No more frogs (Hyde & Seek), no more fish, no more turtles ('Crush' was released a couple years ago to a local pond). Have decided any next pet we get will be something we can cuddle with...making the clean-up worthwhile! Right now 3 little boys, 2 grown men & 3 cats in the house are enough to care for. ha ha

I left the game a little bit early to make it to my small group. It was well worth it...the topic was "Repairing Relationships - The Relationship Choice" (from Rick Warren's 'Life's Healing Choices). Several of the verses spoke to me at the point I'm struggling right now, some include:

"Put your heart right...Reach out to God...Then face the world again, firm and courageous. Then all your troubles will fade from your memory, like floods that are past and remembered no more." (Job 11:13, 15-16)

"Thoughtless words can wound as deeply as any sword, but wisely spoken words can heal." (Proverbs 12:18)

'Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord.' (Romans 12:17-19)

Night blipland! :D
