Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen

Today, I have carried my Camerafaithfully, snapping here and there, funny this and unusal that, but on this Thursday night, I'm at Malcolm Sargent House practising Reiki.

I finish, and I open the curtains, and this miracle is in front of me.

My Reiki at Malcolm Sargent is a joy. I meet parents and grandparents of very, very sick children, and these people are all members of a club of very special people. One parent said to me, "it's not a club I would willingly join, but when you become a member, it is full of the best people you can meet".

The strength they hold in dealing with not only their sick child, and the possibility that they may not recover, but also the rest of their families, and the mundane day-to-day life that the rest of us have to deal with is inspiring.

I consider my visits down there to be a privilege; I get to meet some of the strongest people in the world, and even better than that, I get to merge in with their energy, and feel some of that spirit.

I hope that in the short time that I share with them, they get time to themselves, a spell to recharge their batteries, and the energy to stand up and face what the world throws at them again.

And then, every night when I finish, I open the curtains and see this miracle, and they see it too, and whatever benefit a Reiki session cannot give them, the world at it's best, passes on a huge great big something else.
