A Fahrenheit Life

Cowgate

The Cowgate is a street in Edinburgh's old town, not far from the Castle; a favourite hen and stag (hell) haunt at the weekends. Its name is derived from the fact that in a bygone era cows were herded down it for Edinburgh's market days. This was taken from George IV Bridge and you can see Salisbury Crags in Holyrood Park in the background.

On my way to a dinner at the Signet Library Parliament Square - a very grand and opulent venue. Beautiful evening and I was tempted with a shot of St Giles Cathedral set against a clear, blue sky. However, I'll save that touristy shot for another day.

Dinner was lovely, by the way!
