Holy Cross Church

Seeing it's Sunday, this is Holy Cross Church at the foot of Davidson's Mains village. In the foreground you can see the Well and opposite, out of view, is the Police Box. On the right hand side of the shot is one of the Barnton Gate pillars which stood at the main entrance to Barnton House, sadly no longer in existence after falling into a state of delapidation. Now East Barnton Avenue, this was the original Queensferry Road.

Wee bit of a history lesson there, then. Back at the flat with a van this morning to move out the 'big stuff' that wouldn't fit in the car yesterday. What's worrying is that all this 'big stuff' is now sitting in the lounge...
