Day 11 Ghana

We travelled from Accra to the Volta Region about 1hr and 30 minutes away on a good day. As we got there alot earlier than we expected we booked into our hotel and headed another 2 hours drive to the Wli Agumatsa Falls really quite close to the Togo border. It was a fascinating walk to the falls passing Mango trees, Banana trees, coffee and even saw cocoa! The falls were really very good and we enjoyed watching others having fun under the falls as you can see by the above.

It was a great trip and was good to be able to take A the driver to somewhere where he hadn't been before too.

Once back at the hotel we had a lovely meal and then went back to our room to watch one of the many American movies that were on. Quite happily watching Bride Wars... R noticed we had company in the room, not to worry me he told me it was a Geko... alas I then saw the Geko which in fact was a mouse! R refused to ring reception to get them to sort it saying all will be well, except it decided to venture further afield and the next time I saw it, it was hanging from the zip of R's washbag which was hanging from the door handle of the wardrobe. It then scurried away in the direction of the bed which we were sat on... cue my now standing on the bed in the middle insisting R got reception! Duly a technician arrived, they checked the bed, pulled out the fridge found where he had been and then took off a wood panel and there he was hiding in the tank. Unable to get him the technician picked up one of my best smart flip floppy type sandals new for the trip and pronounced "if he comes out I will hit him with this!" it was all quite amusing really and the result ended with us moving rooms and they put down some "medicine" and now I fear the little mouse is dead. RIP little mouse and thank you for a story to tell. The new room was just fine!
