and grandchild..

My grand-niece baked a cake by herself for the first time and did a mighty fine job of it too! Her Grandpa turned 39 again today and we celebrated his birthday and Easter with a family dinner at their house. They are always so welcoming and warm; it was lots of fun and extra special that my S.O. was able to join us and to enjoy himself for a change. His sore back has been slowing him down lately but he always enjoys the comraderie of the family. It takes his mind off of the aches & pains and puts a smile on his face. :)
