Strange Helicopter
Today was the first time I saw this one passing our house, I really don't know whom he belongs to. His motor has a completely different sound to the ones we usually see/hear! I ran outside as soon as I heard this strange noise, and was fortunate enough to be able to switch lenses on time to capture him right above our swimming pool.
Later in the afternoon Lillian called from the garden to bring my camera, she thought she saw two young snakes, eisch, we had a laugh at her!! It was only two quite big Earthworms! We had somebody in to plant a piece of lawn for the terrible twins, and he dug them out, but I asked him to put them back in the soil after I took a few shots of them.
Their activity aerates and mixes the soil which is associated with soil fertility! It is particularly beneficial to have them in your garden if you are an organic gardener. Please read all about them here.
