Witborskraai, Pied crow, Corvus albus
This crow is distinguished by its white breast (wit bors, in Afrikaans) and collar, the rest all black. A bold species found in loose flocks or communal roosts. The call is a loud 'kwaak'.
Common resident of Zambia, we have hundreds of them in our neighbourhood. They were very restless, about twenty of them were sitting in this tree in the garden of our neighbours, a fierce storm was brooding and they were flying to and fro, sitting in the tree for a few minutesm then start milling around again!
I found a lovely web sitewhere you can read more about them!
I am practising, promise a stunner crow blip one of these days!
