Spot the Birdie

Another Sunday, another walk on the wild side for a serving of toast and marmalade at our Café, joined this morning by eldest daughter and friend.
This involved much merriment and provided a welcome start to a quiet day of paper reading, blipping, drawing and entertaining granddaughter Robynn, passing through Edinburgh en route to London before going home to Oman for Christmas.

She has just finished her first term at university in Scotland, a country which she has only visited briefly in the past and which I imagine has been quite a shock both culturally and meteorologically.
Last week's snow is perhaps the first she has seen since she was a little girl.
It will be interesting to hear how she has enjoyed the experience. I imagine she will be feeling very cold.

For those interested in things culinary, my pumpkin pie delight appears to have withstood any attempts at ruination and will hopefully appeal to her palate.
However for her artistic sensibilities, I will serve the slices away from the table- the visual appearance of the whole leaves a lot to be desired.
