Christmas Lunch
Today we held our CTC* Christmas lunch, a time when we have a chance to see our fellow cyclists in clothes other than Lycra and yellow jackets. I admit they scrub up well and presented a reputable bunch, more than equal to grace the venue in the Merchants Golf Club at Craiglockhart.
It was good to meet the old familiar faces in whose company we have pedalled many a mile in this country and abroad, and swop news.
It was so entertaining that it was only when I caught TrikinDave wielding his camera that I remembered with a jolt that I needed a blip. With the view out of the windows of Craiglockhart obscured by heavy rain it was someone else's dessert plate of biscuits and cheese that I chose to 'make' it today.
Rain was the least of our worries when we left, as the wind was gale force and gusting. I wouldn't be surprised if more trees get blown down tonight.
