Good job I checked out our flight for today last night….the 11am flight had been changed to 9am!


We arrived in Adelaide at 3:30. We checked in to our hotel / apartment style accommodation and then decided to do our own walking tour. So off we went following the river to finally end up in the city. Lots of activity in the city due to Carols in the Park tonight. We enjoyed a cold glass of coke that was served from a VW van and some chicken skewers. The whole walk was just over 4miles.

We were asked by these two lovely girls for a donation to their charity….and I plucked up the courage to ask for a photo, so they make my blip today.

After having a bit of a mooch around we decided to head back to our apartment. Whilst getting ready to go back out for dinner the fire alarm went off! 7 flights of stairs later, the fire alarm was a false alarm. Better safe than sorry!

For dinner, we went to a really lovely Argentinian restaurant and had fabulous 8 hour coal cooked beef, lamb and suckling pig.

We are back now for an early night as I made a bit of a planning error for our day trip tomorrow! I thought the ferry was a 20min drive……its turns out to be a 1hr and 40min drive!!! Whoops.

Tomorrow sees us head to Kangaroo Island.
