Kangaroo Island

We got up at 05:15 this morning and made our way to Cape Jarvis in time for our ferry crossing to Kangaroo Island. The crossing was kind to us and we met our guide, Lyn. Lyn is a born and bred KI’er and full of working local knowledge and an expert in local wildlife.

Our first stop was Seal bay and we were able, with Lyn, to go down onto the beach to see the Sealions. What an amazing sight! Sealions breed every 18 months and we were lucky to see little babies with their mums….incredibly cute. We of course kept a discrete distance from the Sealions. See ChrisC blip

Our next stop was for lunch, Lyn prepared a lovely steak lunch. Afterwards we headed off to see some seals and then onto see Koalas.
We were lucky to see a mum Koala with her baby! Adorable! I hope you can also see the baby koala cuddled up to her Mum.

What a day for photos….so many to choose from. Tomorrow we are off to Barossa Valley for wine!

What an amazing day we have had, however, as much as we have had a fantastic day, our minds are also on the news of the situation in Sydney.
