Fruit Phone??

Don't look now buuut I think I may be beginning to get the hang of this phone camera caper. I know better than to get too cocky ... yet ... but I think I have developed a handling system that works for me. I am even getting on top of the touch screen focusing although it has a couple of peculiarities that still puzzle me. Sometimes it just doesn't want to lock on somehow.

Anyway I was covering the Phoenix Choir's street Christmas Carols today and toward the end I switched from the E-M5 to the Galaxy. I was really fairly pleased with the results ... considering.

A couple of people have been referring to their "fruit phones". I suspect that they just MAY have been alluding to their "apples". Well here is one. Funny thing is I couldn't get it to work at all - no apps, no pictures, no widgets, no nothing tch tch. And the shutter lag is horrendous. I pressed the thing sticking out of the middle which I assume is the shutter release - so far, no click at all!! Samsung Galaxies appear to perform MUCH better.
