A Thursday squirrel quickie

I am feeling very tired and rather jaded so I promise I won't rattle on for long this evening.

It was a quiet day thank goodness.

I heard a commotion in the garden earlier but when I went to investigate, all that could be seen was a few pigeon feathers and a metal chair lying on its side. I wandered out but there was no dead bird anywhere. I suspect that dratted cat. He will have one life less if ever I catch up with him....

It rained a lot today and it was hard to focus through the raindrops. Despite that, there were a lot of gorgeous looking starlings arguing over mealworms as usual.

This rather overstuffed squirrel was my choice today. If I'd felt like it, I'd have let him give you his early version of the Queen's Christmas Day speech looking as regal as he did with his tail spread out like a fine cloak. The words just won't come today.

Maybe Mr Squirrel is a good actor trying to disguise the fact he has wind from eating too many nuts again.
