From the dark corner.....

The future is bight; the future is umm....greyish

Brrrrrrrr! Another one of those chilly days. I was relieved to have decided to stay home again as although I slept much better last night, I felt and looked really washed out and my ribs hurt from coughing.

I rather liked this moon, late going to bed this morning at 7:45, behind the tree branches.

It was a good working day although I expect I'll get sacked tomorrow. When I hadn't heard from yesterday's pain by lunchtime, I sent him an email asking after his health as I was concerned about him and missed his desperate emails. He sent me a terse reply saying he was on a training course and wasn't touching Oracle today but would no doubt be back in touch tomorrow morning. Hmmmm.

I had a chat with the Infrastructure Team manager about the Oracle requirements of a new team member not starting until January. We then discussed the difference between a whisky (Scottish) and a whiskey (Irish) after comparing a fearsome Scottish cold with an English lily-livered one. It was decided I should definitely stay at home!

The rest of my day was spent perfecting a report and setting up new starters.

As I write this I am sat here watching Masterchef wondering if it's just me feeling so cold! For dinner I had Richmond Irish Sausages - the thin ones - but this cold weather is making me ache for a more satisfying thick sausage. However, with loads of thin ones in the freezer, I'd better hold off changing my usual order just yet....

In other news, a 5kg bag of sunflower seeds for the birds arrived. I had to pour some into a measuring jug to fill the feeder as it would have been impossible to fill from the bag. Also, I have my March Edinburgh week booked up and will be seeing Paul Weller at Edinburgh Playhouse on Sunday March the 22nd to get my week off to a fine start.

That's it really!

Track? Paul Weller today - No Tears To Cry
