Chen Caerulescens

I went back to the ponds today looking for the Snow Goose and she (or he) was there again to pose for me. This was not the best shot in light and detail, but the only one with wings spread confirming my identification. I've been watching birds in this area for 30+ years and had never seen one until yesterday so I'm very happy to have spotted it and blipped it! It was the only one among hundreds of Canada Geese. She must have been separated from her flock during migration. She seems to fit right in with the others, though, so maybe she'll spend the winter here. :)
