eureka!

I hung this peanut feeder a few weeks ago and had no comers.
Not even the squirrels tried to get the peanuts!
So there were some questions about the freshness of the peanuts.
But a few days ago I noticed the peanut level was down, and this morning I spotted this male Downy Woodpecker pecking away.
And after he got his fill, some chickadees came to the feeder, too.
Oh happy day!
