rock candy

Anyone remember making your own rock candy by suspending a string into a very concentrated solution of sugar water? As the water evaporated, the sugar would crystalize onto the string making an edible "diamond" necklace.
(I'm never sure what childhood experiences are universal and what ones were unique to me due to my mother, the Science Teacher).
Anyway, this is a shot of a frosted dandelion seed head, and it brought back some fond memories!
