Overheard in Waitrose...

Have you seen that Facebook page 'Overheard in Waitrose'? It's quite amusing... but I feared that after today I might find myself featured. "Ted" I asked "would you like me to buy some hummus for lunch?" Cringe! Mind you, our middle class credentials took a nosedive soon afterwards as I found myself marching down the aisle to the checkouts, basket on one arm, screaming kicking toddler under the other...

Rather a lot of my recent blips seem to involve 'terrible 2s tantrums'; he has had quite a few over the last few weeks, but he's really generally very sweet. I suppose it's the contrast to his normal smiley self that makes them worthy of note. I'm learning to anticipate them and deal with them sensitively, but sometimes there's not much one can do other than wait it out and be ready with a cuddle when the storm has passed.
