THE FACE IN A BROKEN NAMEPLATE

seen while Mischa and I stood waiting for the bus to take us home again.
In the morning we had decided to leave the DIY jobs and go for an orientation and inspiration tour in town.
We went to the Megastores near the Railway station Hollands Spoor. Most of the big shops there are related to home furniture, bathroom, kitchen and decoration too.
In the biggest shop there one walks a path like in a labyrinth (a bit the same as in Ikea), we could easily see that vintage has now its highdays. We loved the colours around us, but did not buy curtains for instance, only some little items to make life pleasant.
From there we walked to the Haagse Markt, which they claim is the biggest open air market in Europe.
Mischa had never been there and I only two times. Large stalls with fruits and vegetables, lots of people buying what they liked.
But we were looking for curtain fabrics and although we found a ready made one, Mischa cannot use it because there was only one available to her disapointment.
She will use it anyway, and put lights in it or something similar.
We both are great fans of fairy lights.
It was in the mean time after lunch time but we had a little bite with us and an apple. We wanted to walk to the bus or the lightrail and found eventually the bus that brought us home.
We ate a sandwich at home and napped each on a chair and couch.
After that still a little paint job to do. Tired now? Very I would say.

My haiku:

If I have no face
Who would I be what would I
Say or could I dream?

And the quote from George Meredith in The Ordeal of Richard Feverel:

Culture is halfway to heaven.
