BEST FRIENDS

I was asked today who my 'best friend' is. I'm not sure I like the concept of a 'bestie' - it seems to be exclusive and to deny the possibility of friendships for different settings and seasons. I have friends that I prefer to be with when I am walking, friends with whom I share the joys and sorrows of grand-parenting, friends I want to be with when my heart is breaking, friends I like to argue with and friends who give me a good dressing down when I need it. But if I was really pushed for an answer there is one friend I keep for sharing everything... the Professor.

Today, I happened to wear the jewellery I wore the day I married him. Someone challenged me to monochrome today, but how could I leave out the colour on this one?
