Greek God

Our last day in Athens, so we did a bit of mopping up and a bit of revisiting our favourite bits, After thoroughly terrifying Katie with a quick trip to the Central Market, with it's artfully arranged displays of skinned animals, sheep's heads and offal and it's blood on the floors, we strolled round the base of the Acropolis again and revisited the Museum, this time pausing for a leisurely coffee in it's rooftop cafe and enjoying (finally) a very pleasant bit of warm Autumn sunshine. Then we wandered up Fillopappos Hill to take in the views from the monument at the top, before returning to the Museum Cafe for a very good lunch of tyropitta and salad. Afterwards we had a mooch round the tourist shops, slowly making our way back to Syntagma Square for a last coffee and to catch the Changing of the Guard one more time before heading back to the hotel to pick up our luggage and a cab to the airport.
